Workshops

A candle making workshop is a hands-on class where participants learn how to make candles from scratch. The workshop typically covers the basics of selecting the appropriate wax, wicks, and scents, as well as techniques for melting, pouring, and setting the candles. Participants can take home their creations at the end of the workshop.

Some workshops will also have another element to it, like a floral or sign painting workshop, so that your candle will have time to set.  

 

Candle & Sign Making Workshop on Thursday September 19th @ Markets Ontario Bowmanville

 

 

Join us for an immersive experience with Diane from Three Wicks Candles, and Sherri from Idle Wild Designs, where you will craft your own unique candle using 100% soy wax, and then paint & stencil a beautiful wooden sign.

You'll start by making a candle guided by the expert hands of Diane. With a wide selection of scents to choose from, you'll have the freedom to create a signature fragrance that’s all your own. Whether you mix and match or stick to a single scent, your candle will be one-of-a-kind, and you'll leave with a beautifully crafted candle and the skills to make more! 

For the second half of the workshop you’ll have fun with Sherri from Idle Wild Designs as you create a gorgeous piece of wall art that you’ll be proud to hang in your home, or give as a gift.  Sherri will guide you, step by step, in the process of painting a framed wood sign using a stencil featuring the beautiful sentiment 

“may these walls know joy, may each room hold laughter, and may every window open to great possibility"

Holiday/Winter Wreath and Candle Making Workshop

Three Wicks Candles (@threewickscandles) and IdleWild Designs Canada (@idlewilddesignscanada) are excited to bring you two workshops in one!

At the end of the class, each participant will take home a beautiful hand-crafted wreath and hand-poured scented candle.

Spend the first half of the class with Diane @threewickscandles learning about candle making, candle care and hand pouring your own scented candle. You will have the opportunity to select from a variety of scents, or blend your very own signature scent.

As your candle cures, you’ll work under the guidance of Sherri of @idlewilddesignscanada to design and create a gorgeous holiday/winter grapevine wreath that you’ll be proud to display or gift to someone special.

All materials and tools will be provided, please bring your laughter and creativity!
